We celebrated with Brendan at the annual sports awards banquet at his middle school.  Brendan received an extra award for his performance in volleyball.

Brendan is 14 years old this year! I don't know how that's possible!

His middle school team played in the championship game on his birthday.  The game stayed tied up for a couple of innings.  I was a nervous wreck!  They ended up winning though.  This team was undefeated...16-0.  I'm so proud of Brendan and all his teammates.

I am sure this is a birthday that B will never forget!

Day 124

Monday night, Brendan's middle school team played in the semi-finals to determine who goes to the championship game.  It was such a close game, but we won!  These boys are still undefeated.  One more game to go, and it happens to be on Brendan's birthday.

Here is a photo I took in the first game of the tournament this past weekend of B and the umpire.  The same crew of umps called all the games so B quickly became friends.

Today was Brendan's last regular season middle school game.  They won 15-3 and are undefeated.  Such an exciting time...

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

Tonight, Brendan played his 5th game in 3 days.  He caught 33 consecutive innings in 54 hours. I am so proud of him.  His teams won all 5 games.

March 9th was Brendan's first middle school game.  The boys were down 1-0 until the 5th inning.  They came back and scored 5 runs to make it 5-1.  After 6 innings, the game was called because of the time limit.  That was a great first win.

So these two have known each other since they were born.  They don't go to the same school, but they both play volleyball, and their schools played each other Thursday afternoon.

They also happen to have the same school colors, and they both happen to be #8.

This was as close as they would stand to each other.

Today was Brendan's first middle school baseball game.  He got to start as catcher.  His team lost to a better team.  Brendan is the youngest player on his team!  Wow…that field is HUGE compared to what he is used to... we are so proud of him!
