Day 113

For Wednesday night...

Back at the baseball field (every night but Friday this week).

Here is B getting ready to bat.  He always does a "triple tap" on home plate before bringing the bat to his shoulder! :)

  1. What a great shot.. I LOVE your focus..makes me want to burn all my photos and stop this silly fascination of photography!

    1. you are way too hard on yourself. I practiced for THREE straight years to nail focus. AND, it does not hurt using an amazing camera. Here's a suggestion that one of my friends uses. She always always always tried to keep her shutter speed at 400 or above. She says she "shakes" too much which throws off your focus esp if your aperture is set to 2.8 or less. I try really hard not to get anxious and snap a bunch of photos to get one good one. I try to stay as still as possible and toggle my focal point in camera to where I think would be the most pleasing to the eye. I still get it wrong though. For example, in the azalea pic, I wish I had had my aperture around 4.5 to get a few more of the blossoms on the left in focus. However, I am still happy with the depth the photo shows...it's just personal preference.

    2. PS - run the Sharpen/Defog action over your photo at the end of your edit (can find this in Florabella Colorplay or Muse). Mostly, you don't need 100% opacity, but that action really sharpens the final image.
