Day 56

Both boys wore their hoodies today supporting a local 13 year old who has been battling brain cancer this past year.

He appears to be doing well after two brain surgeries and chemotherapy.

I love these hoodies!

Day 55

Brendan and his Confirmation Mentor helped with Communion at church this morning.

I am so proud of him for volunteering!

Emma is ready for Carson's Birthday Party...

Day 53

The kids were out for a snow day today.  Good thing it was already 36 and just rainy when we woke up this morning!  UGH!

B and Jack tried to make the most out of it, and they even shot a few baskets in the rain.

Jackson wore one of the new hats that MiMi gave him for Christmas.  I love the colors in it, and how they bring out the blue in his eyes!

Tonight Jackson along with one student from each school was honored at the 33rd annual Human Relations Student Awards Banquet.

Day 51

When I got home from the Y this morning, this is what I saw in our backyard.

There were seven adult deer!

It was hard getting a good photo.  The deer instantly noticed me when I came out onto the porch to take pictures.  I only snapped five photos before the one in the lower right hand corner stamped her(?) foot and then huffed really loudly.  As soon as that happened, they were all gone!

Day 48

After the race, we checked out and headed north to Oak Island, NC for the night.

Even though cold, rainy weather was on the way, the afternoon was beautiful and almost 60 degrees.

Maria and I walked on the beach, and we both took a few photos.

Again, I cannot choose just one.

This first photo was taken right when we got down to the beach, and the sun was still shining.

Day 47

This morning bright and early my three runners headed out to rock the 16th Annual Myrtle Beach Half-Marathon!

Two out of the three runners set personal records and one was only off by 45 seconds! Ca-razy Running!

So proud of them! They all finished strong!
