Day 230
The town of Morganton commissioned my husband's uncle to create bronze statues to honor and memorialize World War II Veterans. When we spent the night in Morganton during Brendan's state baseball tournament, I was able to photograph these statues. I am just now getting to edit the photos. The statues are just amazing!

Day 228
Here is Jackson just before heading out to his soccer game this morning. It is an usual day here...pouring down rain and 64 degrees in the middle of August! I hate it! I want summer...where has it been?
Unfortunately Jackson twisted his ankle during the first game, and it instantly started to swell. JC took him to Urgent Care, and they x-rayed it. There is a possible fracture so he has a boot. We are supposed to see an ortho specialist on Tuesday!
This is our first sports injury! Jackson was upset about not being able to play in his second game today or in his game tomorrow!
