Day 53

After 5 days of tryouts, the roster for the JV baseball team at West was finally announced.  We are so proud of Brendan for making the team.  There were a total of 6 catcher out there, and only one of those was a senior (no juniors).  There were two returning sophomores and 3 freshmen.

We surprised B with a cake and balloons.

Saturday we went to my niece's 6th birthday party.  Her birthday is Monday the 22nd!

Day 50

Brendan put a team together for the annual Dodgeball tournament that our church hosts each year.  All money is donated to the food pantry, and guests are asked to bring canned food items as admission.

Brendan's team was Snoop Dodgy Dodge.  They got sent to the loser's bracket the first game, but managed to win all other games and played in the championship.  Unfortunately they lost that game.

We had a snow day on President's Day instead of a school make-up day.

Sarah came over to play with Emma for a while, and they made this cute trifold poster!

It is bitter cold outside.  Highs in the upper 20s and lows in the low teens.

That didn't stop these two from playing on the trampoline today.  I've got to admit that it was nice for the kids to be outside a little while at least.

It also helped that hot chocolate with A LOT of whipped cream was waiting on them when they finally came inside! :)
