Day 124
Monday night, Brendan's middle school team played in the semi-finals to determine who goes to the championship game. It was such a close game, but we won! These boys are still undefeated. One more game to go, and it happens to be on Brendan's birthday.
Here is a photo I took in the first game of the tournament this past weekend of B and the umpire. The same crew of umps called all the games so B quickly became friends.

Day 123
This weekend Brendan's team played up an age group in the toughest division of the Tennessee Super NIT in Kingsport. The boys played great and went 4-1. They came in 2nd to a much older team outside of Washington DC.

Day 101

Also today JC and Ben are running the Carolinas Spartan Sprint. Here are the before pictures...
We are south of Charlotte this weekend for a baseball tournament so I am without art supplies. I am no artist, however, so this works for me! :)
We started play last night with an 8:30pm game. The boys just were not playing well, and we lost. Here is a pic from last night's game.

Today Jackson played in one soccer game (they lost), and Brendan's travel team played in a one day tournament. Brendan's team won!!! They played 3 games.

Finally getting around to editing Brendan's last baseball tournament of 2014.
I love this series of B catching the ball. One of his teammate's dads restrung B's catcher's mit with yellow leather. It looks really cool.

Saturday was a day of soccer and baseball. This weekend is the last tournament for both boys for 2014.

Day 298
This weekend the Canes played in a 14U Wood Bat tournament. A younger player for the Canes who just got diagnosed with neuroblastoma was a guest player for another team. Our boys were able to meet him, and they signed a game ball for Gavin.

Day 278
We spent the weekend in Spartanburg for the USSSA SC Super NIT. The Canes played 6 games in 2 days (4 games on Sunday). We came in 2nd place. We were hoping to win the championship, but 2nd place isn't bad out of 16 teams.

Brendan also had a great weekend of baseball playing for the Canes.
I love how he has developed as a catcher. It takes a lot for a ball to get by him!
