Day 47

This morning bright and early my three runners headed out to rock the 16th Annual Myrtle Beach Half-Marathon!

Two out of the three runners set personal records and one was only off by 45 seconds! Ca-razy Running!

So proud of them! They all finished strong!

Day 46

I meant to post this on Friday, but it slipped my mind with us traveling to the beach.

This is Emma before school. She and her doll have on matching outfits! She was so excited to take her for show and tell!

Valentine's Day 2013

ok...so they had HAD IT by this point.


The love of my life...surprised me by cooking dinner!

And even...

which are usually a big no no...I just don't see the point in spending the money at Valentine's Day, but the thought was oh so sweet!

Tomorrow is Fat Tuesday so today we started getting ready for our Fat Tuesday celebration.

Emma was especially helpful in unwrapping the masks.

*Photoshop is really acting up tonight.  If I was not so tired, I might try to figure it out !

Day 41

This morning we got up and went to church.

On the way home, I stopped at Sherwin Williams for paint for the dining room.

I had the lady color match the moulding paint color for the wainscoting, and then I chose a color to "try" for the walls above.

I spent four hours painting today.  That was about 4 hours more than I wanted to...

Here is the color. I was thinking of a navy for the dining room...something bold.

I just don't think I can do it.  It is way too dark. The room can handle the bold color; I just don't think I can.

Day 40

Jackson had a sleepover last night.

This morning we decided to make cinnamon roll waffles.  I first saw this idea on Pinterest, and we love cinnamon rolls this way now...no more gooey middle!

Day 39

Today the electrician came back for the third time to help us with some of our lighting and electrical problems that we inherited with the house.

The outdoor lighting is now in working order, and I am very happy with it.

Day 38

It is pouring down rain and 40 degrees outside.

That about sums up the kind of week I have had.

A little depressing and a lot uninspiring.

I've not Instagrammed one photo.  I have not yet participated in this month's theme for my photography class.  Blah Blah Blah!

I'm not complaining one bit; I just haven't really felt like using my camera this week.

When everyone I got home, I threw out this question...

"Who wants to let me take their photo?"

Emma quickly volunteered so I jumped on the opportunity.
