Day 46

We had a snow day on President's Day instead of a school make-up day.

Sarah came over to play with Emma for a while, and they made this cute trifold poster!

Day 45

Day 44

It is bitter cold outside.  Highs in the upper 20s and lows in the low teens.

That didn't stop these two from playing on the trampoline today.  I've got to admit that it was nice for the kids to be outside a little while at least.

It also helped that hot chocolate with A LOT of whipped cream was waiting on them when they finally came inside! :)

Day 43

I gave JC two canvases for Christmas.  The quality is not so good because they were printed from snapshots of old photos.  I love them though, and I finally got them hung in the stairwell leading down to the basement.

In the top canvas, JC is running in a 1993 track meet for UNC.

In the bottom photo, he had just won the United Kingdom High School Championship in the 800m.

I married a track star! :)

Today is Ash Wednesday!

We celebrated Fat Tuesday last night with East Coast Wings and Kings Cake.

Day 40

Emma loves to watch instructional videos on YouTube.  Lately she has been watching tutorials on braiding hair.  She tried out something new on me this past weekend.  I think she did very well!

Day 39

Emma and Jackson decided to bake a cake one night this past weekend.  We didn't have all of the ingredients so we improvised.

They each decorated 1/2 side.  Emma drew a flower pot, and Jackson tried the Liverpool FC bird and some other graphic designs.

Super Bowl 50

Carolina Panthers vs. Denver Broncos

Although I am a Cowboys fan, Brendan loves the Panthers.  We went to a Super Bowl party and everyone there was a Panthers fan.  I painted Emma's face for the game. I wore a UNC shirt and my Cowboys earrings! :)

Day 37

Emma played in her first soccer tournament this weekend.  She did really well considering they only had one practice before the tournament.
