Mardi Gras!!!

Day 42

Tomorrow is Fat Tuesday so today we started getting ready for our Fat Tuesday celebration.

Emma was especially helpful in unwrapping the masks.

*Photoshop is really acting up tonight.  If I was not so tired, I might try to figure it out !

Day 41

This morning we got up and went to church.

On the way home, I stopped at Sherwin Williams for paint for the dining room.

I had the lady color match the moulding paint color for the wainscoting, and then I chose a color to "try" for the walls above.

I spent four hours painting today.  That was about 4 hours more than I wanted to...

Here is the color. I was thinking of a navy for the dining room...something bold.

I just don't think I can do it.  It is way too dark. The room can handle the bold color; I just don't think I can.

Day 40

Jackson had a sleepover last night.

This morning we decided to make cinnamon roll waffles.  I first saw this idea on Pinterest, and we love cinnamon rolls this way now...no more gooey middle!

Day 39

Today the electrician came back for the third time to help us with some of our lighting and electrical problems that we inherited with the house.

The outdoor lighting is now in working order, and I am very happy with it.

It is pouring down rain and 40 degrees outside.

That about sums up the kind of week I have had.

A little depressing and a lot uninspiring.

I've not Instagrammed one photo.  I have not yet participated in this month's theme for my photography class.  Blah Blah Blah!

I'm not complaining one bit; I just haven't really felt like using my camera this week.

When everyone I got home, I threw out this question...

"Who wants to let me take their photo?"

Emma quickly volunteered so I jumped on the opportunity.

Day 35

My boys play airsoft with other boys in the neighborhood.

They are always wanting a new airsoft gun.

I have never posted pictures of this before...not sure how I feel about photos of them with their guns.

Brendan bought a new gun with his chore money.

It arrived today!  He is happy.

I rarely post pictures of him so I am going to share these.

Day 34

Super Bowl XLVII is tonight.

The Baltimore Ravens are playing the San Francisco 49'ers.

I don't really care who wins.

Emma and I decided we would wear our Cowboys gear to the party instead!!!
